ECOS
Gateway
DefinitionThis first phase is a part of the larger DMA project and is targeted to
facilitate electronic order routing (or more commonly referred to as internet trading) via our
Equity
Brokers and
Derivative
Brokers .
The ECOS Gateway is actually an enhancement of our WINSCORE system to accept orders via FIX
4.4. As a result, latency is reduced and participants are able to enjoy Straight Through
Processing.
This however, is not DMA in its strictest sense as there is no direct access to Bursa’s
trading engine. The gateway essentially performs an order management function that adds value to
the current set up.
